Censored!

I was going through my files today, making sure all of the links were working, when I was confronted with a page from Rapid Share saying "forbidden to download, file has been deleted, complaint has been made" or something like that. So, someone...and I'm not accusing anyone--but someone heard this audio diary file (also available here), which refers to this entry, and didn't like it much.

So, what did they do? Did they make a comment on the entry? Did they email me, voicing their concerns? No, this pussy tattled on me to Rapid Share. Rapid Share, upon getting one complaint, promptly deleted me. Sure, I'm giving people ideas. But, anyway, obviously the file is available. I will make it available in every form I can, for spite, unless someone can actually contact me and gove me a good reason why I should censor myself.

But anyway, I am quite delighted, so I'd like to thank whoever thought my material was challenging enough to be censored! Go Me!!

As Ghandi said:

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

Looks like they are fighting you Alleee.

Hello Alleee

Just wanted to stop by and say: Onward atheist soldier!! (pun intended)
I have recently become a listener of your show and was moved to post a message after reading this entry. Personally I have come to hate online blogs, I believe that although every one has the right to express their own personal opinion, not every one should be handled a megaphone to do so. But I’m happy there are smart people who can actually make good use of this form of public expression.

Keep up the good work!

Here's one that Mr. Rogers never taught us: "Oh, the asshole is a person in your neighborhood...."

Isn't it sad how often the squeaky wheel, or in many cases the braying jackass, gets the grease? Hardly anyone asks the question, "Does the person complaining have a pole up their ass?" Students are not being taught relevant lessons because they are "controversial". The control freaks have discovered that controversial topics lead to independent thought.

Keep up the good work. Perhaps we should all take some time to scour the internet for things so stupid that they offend us, and then complain about them? Oh. Right. Some of us already do that without trying to deny another's right to be heard.

Exactly! For example:

As a smart free thinker this websites make my skin crawl, but not for that I am going to write a message to the host and complain about how the content makes me feel uneasy me as an atheist.

Stop it. You're hurting me. I checked out those sites. It is inconceivable to me that people could spout such addle-brained bullshit to support the unsupportable, let alone believe it. It all boils down to the belief that everything in the bible is true because the bible says so. And everything those cheesy hucksters say on their web sites must be true because they say it is! I mean, why would they lie? ;-)

Example:

"Quick flood burial would be the only way that so many dinosaurs and other things could have become fossilized in the way scientists have found them." - Paul S. Taylor

Oh really? And what proof do you offer for this statement, Mr. Taylor? None? Oh, right. You don't believe in science and your drooling followers don't require any proof!

Gah! A pox on the lot of them! Now where did that evil eye roll off to?

Oh but you see my friend, those moronic statements do not go silent, intelligent people do notice! ^_^
